I drove to Ottawa from Toronto today.  Along the way we stopped off at Reid's Dairy in Belleville.  They had some nice ice cream cones there and believe it or not at the very back of the shop, they had an actual milk bagging machine.

I took this picture with my cell phone, but here it is:  This is the hight of eastern Canadian mass dairy delivery systems...

So they bag the milk but they still use plastic crates?

The milk bags are automatically dispensed into the crates.
