Where is the best place to purchase a IFAK ? Just put one together from scratch, it'll be cheaper and probably better. Make sure to get an extra tourniquet. I'm not sure what's in them or even how to use them, I wanted to buy one, check it out, then try to take a class or something for "first responder" or something. |

+1 for the shameless plug of Old Grouch

Your training will dictate what you put in an IFAK. Simply having one does nothing for you. |

The basics of every IFAK/trauma kit: CPR shield Asherman Chest Seal Izzy bandage (two at least or one 4" one 6") Kerlix (2 rolls at least) 3M tape and several feet of duct tape. 4x4 gauze Quik Clot or similar product ACE bandage or two. CAT Tourniquet. Gloves A good small light. I like my E2D as it's powerful and I can clip it onto my baseball cap so I can work hands free. A headlamp (LED) is also a good choice. Benadryl Great stuff to have but you'll need training for: Decomp needle Quik Clot NPA Tourniquet EPI Pen |

No offense to OG, but that's a Vietnam era IFAK... |

Benadryl Great stuff to have but you'll need training for: Decomp needle Quik Clot NPA Tourniquet EPI Pen That seems like a little too much for a small IFAK. I could see that much stuff for a trama kit in a range bag, but not for a IFAK on a person. |

Seriously the best made and most accessible ifak I've ever used. It's three Molle wide, and works attached to a belt as well on a lbv or Iba. They sell diff levels of internal component kits for the non mil/Leo crowd who can't get that shit for free.
Its tactical

Have a friend who makes them and sells them, orders direct from china and israel, cost is like $100 and has way more than an issued ifak. T Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile He's not using the Chinese CAT knockoffs, is he? Those things are junk. I cheaped out and bought bought one of those knockoff tourniquets (didn't know any better) when I was assembling my range kit. When I saw what I got, I threw it away and ordered a N.A.R. CAT. |

I was just trying to remember who here had a surplus store this morning. It's been too long since I looked through one and looks like CTD has gone down hill. |
