I'm sorry friend, my dad has it and it does suck.  He's had decent luck with drinking a glass of apple vinegar in the morning and evening.  He's been following that plan for around two months now and has had good results.

Feel for you....

My cure, Grab the joint its in, manipulate vigorously, scream and cry, drink (2) gallons of water on empty stomach immediately.

I try to use the joint it is in as much as possible.

Has not lasted more than a day since I started this regimen.

I get it about 1x every 6 months.

Usually after a day in the field with no eating, followed by a night of heavy drinking and BBQ then next A.M.....

Crawfish does it for me.    I suggest drinking Black Cherry Juice.   You can get it from the health foods store.  Tastes ok, and will knock out a flare up overnight.

Colchacine.... Uhh get ready to spray some liquids.

Indomiacin works for me. I use to get flare ups three to four times a year. Really started watching what I eat and drinking lots of water. My biggest problem is red meat. Still, I havent had a flare up in over a year untill today... Took the Indomiacin and forgot how bad it tears my stomach up. So I was miserable for about 4 hours. I am much better now. I tied the alpurinal a couple times and actually had more flare ups. Doc said it sometimes happes
