| I've read enough about it here and I am ready to sign up. How do I do it? |

That link is full of fail. Use this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/prime |

You ready to pay for the rest of your life? Once you start, its really difficult to go back, No shit, I don't fucking miss going to four different Home Depots or Walmarts when I need six of an item and every store has at most two or three. What you need, as many as you need, tax free, and free two day shipping right to your door!

DO NOT get Prime for streaming. Most of the good content (especially HD) is not included in Prime and you have to pay extra per movie or episode. Prices on Prime eligible products for free 2 day shipping have crept up a lot lately and they cost more than other sites, so it is not really a good deal anymore. |

I have prime, and will probably be paying for it the rest of my life It is just too convenient *not* to have. I justify it by saying that the amount paid for prime will be made up for by what I'd save in gas money (idk if it really does). The streaming part is kind of a gimmick though––netflix is leaps and bounds above prime streaming. |

if you have a .edu email it's free for the first year, and half price after that. I didn't even remember to switch to my .edu email! Oh, you can also share the Prime with 5 other members, supposed to be in your family. |

I tried out prime last month, and this mirrored what I found. Most of the Prime Eligible products were more expensive. I did not subscribe after my trial. |

I watched a movie on Prime the other night, and for the first few minutes, the picture quality was crap, then it got much better. Not HD, but pretty damn good. Glancing through their content, most are B movies or things you haven't heard of. I mostly got it for the fast shipping. I realized this weekend I'm going to need new tires for my car later this year. I'll see if I can find 'em on Prime and have them shipped quick. |

I was interested in Prime because I've been wanting to do more online shopping and we are also looking at getting rid of DirecTV and I was hoping it would supplement a Netflix membership on a Roku box.
I gave it a test run the other day and tried to find something decent to watch and found only a handful of shows or movies I would watch, most of which cost $2.99+. I then began the shopping phase and went through an imaginary order of some home networking supplies and some house hold items like batteries, zip ties, coffee filters, and K-Cups. In the end, I wasn't impressed, on almost all of the items the price increase was more than what I would have paid in shipping. The only plus would have been not paying shipping on multiple orders from separate vendors, which if you plan accordingly you can avoid. I was excited about joining Prime, about jumping into the world of online shopping and contract free home entertainment, now I'm just bummed out because I was so disappointed. YMMV. |

I love prime.
Decide I want a Spyderco Tenacious.... 2 days later at my house cheaper than I could find it elsewhere. New camera, need extra battery and memory cards......2 days later in my hand. I find myself looking in box stores, then saying piss on it, I'll order it on prime and have it here in two days with no tax and cheaper to boot. |

Check out camelcamelcamel.com for price history on amazon items. Saves me a lot of money. |
| Signed up and already ordered some stuff. Razor cartridges, laundry soap, and dryer sheets. Everything cheaper than even my local Wal Mart and free shipping to boot. Thanks arfcom for letting me know about Prime. Without reading about it here I would've just thought it was a gimmick. |
