This is a retired Police officer with the Texas Highway Patrol...........
“If you know veterans and gun owners, please pass this on to them. Be very cautious about what you say and to whom. " I am passing this along...there are comments from two other people I have also been asked if we keep guns in the house. The nurse just kinda slipped it in along with all the other regular questions. I told her I refused to answer because it was against the law to ask. Everyone, whether you have guns or not, should give a neutral answer so they have no idea who does and who doesn't. My doctor asked me if I had guns in my house and also if any were loaded. I , of course, answered yes to both questions. Then he asked why I kept a loaded gun close to my bed. I answered that my son, who is a certified gun instructor and also works for Homeland Security, advised me that an unloaded, locked up gun is no protection against criminal attack. The Government now requires these questions be asked of people on Medicare, and probably everyone else. Just passing this along for your information: I had to visit a doctor other than my regular doctor when my doctor was on vacation. One of the questions on the form I had to fill out was: Do you have any guns in your house?? My answer was None of your damn business!! So it is out there! It is either an insurance issue or government intervention. Either way, it is out there and the second the government gets into your medical records (As they want to under Obamacare) it will become a major issue and will ultimately result in lock and load!! Please pass this on to all the other retired guys and gun owners...Thanks From a Vietnam Vet and retired Police Officer: I had a doctors appointment at the local VA clinic yesterday and found out something very interesting that I would like to pass along. While going through triage before seeing the doctor, I was asked at the end of the exam, three questions: 1. Did I feel stressed? 2. Did I feel threatened? 3. Did I feel like doing harm to someone? The nurse then informed me, that if I had answered yes to any of the questions, I would have lost my concealed carry permit as it would have gone into my medical records and the VA would have reported it to Homeland Security. Looks like they are going after the vets first. Other gun people like retired law enforcement will probably be next. Then when they go after the civilians, what argument will they have? Be forewarned and be aware. The Obama administration has gone on record as considering veterans and gun owners potential terrorists. Whether you are a gun owner veteran or not, YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!!!!! If you know veterans and gun owners, please pass this on to them. Be very cautious about what you say and to whom. _ Food for Thought Never trust a dog to guard your food. |

The VA hospital is like going to the DMV and waiting for health issues to be dealt with, instead of paying the gubm't to charge people for the privelege of driving your car. My last trip to the VA was a 6hr ordeal, for a simple prescription. I literally racked out in the exam room after waiting 4 hours in the waiting area, reading though numerous copies of VFW.
You see one out of 10 people at best in the VA hospital who are motivated to provide timely, competent care to you, like enlisted medics doing hospital rotations, while waiting for deployment. All my guns were lost in a recent boating accident too. It was a sad day... |
| I know for a personal fact that the shrink at the VA i see has ask me those questions worded a little different. "Have you thought about hurting yourself or someone else today" kind of thing. Also be careful of any monkey dope they might want to give you for PTSD esp. if you hold a FAA medical. You cannot lie on the FAA physical thats for sure. |
| Personally, I'd just lie like a gypsy if they asked me....especially as thanks to Obamacare your entire medical history is being put in a central database the Feds, your employer, insurance companies, and whoever else the Democrats see fit will have access to it. |

Hell, the old Doc at the MEPS even knows what my sphincter looks like when I bend over. ![]() Been there why do they always get the old guyyou had him too? I think he must be at every MEPS!! ![]() Not in Atlanta. They had some ancient German lady that did that with all the enthusiasm and charm that I'm pretty sure she learned as Dr.Mengele's protege'. |

"Which would you rather be, a florist or a dentist?" Answer "Yes" or "No" to the following statements: "The voices in my head are telling me not to reveal my 'special agent from God' status just yet." "I often have thoughts and feelings that are so terrible, they are......best kept to myself." "I am so attracted the personal articles and effects of others, such as shoes, gloves, etc., that I feel a need to handle or steal them, though I have no use for them at all." "I often see animals and other types of creatures that others cannot see, that are all around me." "Barrack Obama is a scrawny faggot who likes to hang out at butt sex parties with Rahm Emanuel in Chicago's exclusive gay bath houses." |

Col. Jessep:
"You can't handle the truth! Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? [snip] I would rather you just said "Thank you," and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to! Shortly after the AWB was wisely allowed to sunset, I decided to make it a point that from then on whenever I expected to wait at any airport, bus station, DMV office, train station, post office, court house, clinic, or hospital (including ERs) - that I would be sure to carry with me at least one copy (prominently displayed) of either Shotgun News, Guns & Weapons, Survival Weapons & Tactics, or Small Arms Review (or some combination thereof), and to be certain that anyone nearby could easily see the photos of the various weapons that were portrayed or advertised... I do this for three simple reasons:
1. As an effort to help identify & make as uncomfortable as possible any potential anti-gun liberal-tards within visual range. 2. To help identify & bring a sense of support, confidence, & brotherhood to other responsible pro-gun citizens potentially in attendance. 3. & lastly - To remind myself that I must remain ever-vigilant in the proper defense & good maintenance of my God-given & Constitutionally-Guaranteed Second Amendment Rights. Though I have yet to ever receive this line of questioning from any such medical personnel, I fully intend that upon such questioning, I will simply reply in the negative, point to an advertised photo of such a weapon, & state: "...though as a responsible & law-abiding citizen, I should certainly ensure that I purchase a number of these as soon as possible." ETA: On a side note - If the location seems to be exceptionally liberal-tarded, I usually leave the magazine in the waiting area afterward. (to potentially infuriate, or even possibly ........re-educate the fools.)

Also be careful of any monkey dope they might want to give you for PTSD esp. if you hold a FAA medical. You cannot lie on the FAA physical thats for sure. It's called a PTSD screener - and with the big push towards Mental Health Services access, this is SOP. Not to mention every "shrink" in the VA asks these questions, largely due to the needs of our clientel! There is no conspiracy - if there is, no one told the VA doctors about it. As far as I know, there is no "reporting" to ANY federal agency regarding firearms - or even actively treated PTSD for that matter... UNLESS there is a direct threat to the veteran or their relatives (ie "I am going to go home and shoot _____!"). I'm pretty sure that's going to be in the Snopes link, too. ETA: Yes, you gents just need to read the Snopes Link. The government can be lots of things - but a highly secretive conspiracy against veterans master-minded by the White House in synergistic conjunction with the Dep. of Homeland Security, Veterans Affairs and the BATFE... requiring the censure of literally tens of thousands of civiilian medical professionals in concern with the above reporting - and one retired cop lets the cat out of the bag? Yeah, that is NOT realistic. Remember, this is the same government that has 26 intelligence agencies all doing the same job; none of whom can actually communicate with one another. In summary, they *might* be out to get you, but some of us are a little more paranoid than others.
