I would like to thank my local USPS carrier for leaving a $700 ACOG just sitting on my front porch unattended

I slept on the couch this morning so I could hear for the UPS guy knock and I havent heard anything until 5 minutes ago when the ups guy dropped off my orders. WTF over

ACOGs usually fit in a small enough box to be put in a mailbox, USPS around here usually doesn't knock for that.....

I live in a decent neighborhood,but ive had stuff swiped off of my front porch before. Really not wanting it to happen again

Hell,a simple knock would have been nice.

Unless the USPS guy opened your box to see what was inside, and then actually knew what he was looking at, why wouldn't he just leave it on the porch?

USPS never knocks.

If you were that concerned, why not have it shipped with signature required and insurance?

Not USPS fault. Mail carrier had no way to know what was inside the box. Blame the shipper for not requing a signature.

Oh, and rant fail.

You are using two different carriers in your post.

Is it UPS or USPS?

Yeah maybe a weak rant,but I've had stuff swiped off my porch before so I'm a little paranoid about deliveries now. No harm no foul

I just had 2 Barnes and Noble boxes stolen off my front steps last week. Luckily, B&N is sending me replacement books for free. The mail carrier said she knocked, but it was around 9 am on a Saturday, and I was asleep and sleep through knocks on my door.
