The story of Eric Clapton is amazing. If you understand it, then you know why he is so awesome. I read his biography and its hard to still like the guy....I respect his ability and I am in awe but....he is not a likeable fellow.... He came out of the same era as a lot of others, and he is still just Eric Clapton. Not some retarded version of his former self. |

Got to see him perform in Ames Iowa in 1978. His Slowhand tour. When they played "The Core" the lights almost fell off the roof. Cost..............$7.50 I saw the same tour in Cleveland Oh. Muddy Waters was the warm up band. One of the best shows I have ever seen. |

World's greatest rock guitarist. I would have to argue that David Gilmour may have claim to that title. But it would be really close. Perhaps a tie? NOT EVEN CLOSE. Gilmour doesn't even have comparable skill. I LOVE Pink Floyd, but that isn't even close. |

One of my favorites too! |
