They carry a backpack everywhere outside the house. It has snacks and extra clothes for if the weather changes while filming and such.

Their bags are packed with kleenex because Greg is a cry baby. I just watched the latest episode on DVR and can't believe his sissy ass was about to cry about making a decision.

According to a former participant, the events seen on TV take much longer to produce that it seems. The competitors are away from the house for hours at a time, so they need some gear with them (changes of clothes, etc).

I was reading somewhere that the cute little nomination thing takes a LOT longer than the 3 minutes we see.

And that's without building the bridge for the river homeboy was crying.
