My issues have issue. Help with computer issue. Installed Kapersky virus software in computer. My one computer.

Have over 90 photos in camera that Kaspersky will not allow be uploaded. Posted in Urban Commando forum. Evidently I'm not hi-speedier enough to get a response. It's a dumb redneck thing.

Any way. Photos are needed to finish a few gateway threads. One of particular interest to some is self defense cartridges and weapon tuning. It's all locked in camera and been there for months...........  Have been using droid for pictures which ain't doin too bad. Much easier to post to photobucket.

I know there's at least one hi-speedier computer, reloader type here. Help appreciated.

Un-install the virus software and install Free AVG.

Ditch the Kaspersky.

Kaspersky is a great all around computer protection agent. I have it deployed at my work thru a centrally managed SQL server serving about 150 workstations. It does more than just anti-virus, it also does intrusion prevention via monitoring external storage devices plugged into a machine. This is the problem you are having. You need to go into the advanced properties of each of the components of Kaspersky (anti-virus, anti-hacker, intrusion prevention, etc) and find where it is blocking file transfer thru external devices. It will be obvious when you find it, but I cant be more specific as the consumer version is laid out differently than the enterprise version. Stick with Kaspersky.. its good stuff.

I am not currently a Kaspersky user, but have used it for several years in the past and for me it has always been above average in its performance and abilities.

I would have to agree with the above user that its more than likely associated with one of your settings than anything else, and you may have to manually go through the settings and see if something is configured incorrectly.

Were you running any other security software previously that is still installed or running concurrently with the new security suite?

What do you mean "not allow to be uploaded"?  Can you see the mounted memory card/drive when you plug in your camera?

I second the "Use AVG" comments.  If that's not an option, I'll need a little more info you help you out.  Also, I highly recommend getting a usb thumbdrive that takes memory cards.  This may not solve your problem but they are mighty convenient when you want to transfer files when you don't have your cable.

Waiting to see how long it will be before this topic gets moved to GD. In reality, you might get more replies there.

+1 here also!!!
We had kaspersky on 3 pc's and that was the worst thing we ever did!!!!!!!!!!! That program is pure crap and completely ruins your PC!!! I had it professionally installed and ran and it almost destroyed all the pc's. It runs so much and so hard that nothing else will run. It slows your pc down so much you cannot do ANYTHING on them at all!!!!

I have uninstalled them all and put AVG 2012 on them and it works great!!!!

I hate Kaspersky...

Try disabling the AV software [I think it's called 'pause' on that one], and then retry your upload.  Then re-enable it when complete.
