Can you recommend a good program for this? I want to be able to log into my office desktop from home.
I have heard of logmein.com. Anything else?
Thanks

I have used VNC a few times to access my parents computer to fix it.  seemed to work pretty well.

logmein works, and is free.

GoToMyPC works, and is $10 a month, but a little nicer.  Your IT Guys will probably like GoTo's security features a little better.

Teamviewer is free and it's awesome

I like Dameware's remote connectivity, but I also use the NT Utilities a lot, so it's a package deal.  Very much like VNC.

LogMeIn works, but as someone else said, if you're doing it on MY network, you'll find it blocked.

GoToMyPc is gtg and works fairly well.

Simple native RDP works fine too if your guy will open the ports or NAT you back, or if you have a VPN connection it'll work great, adn your network god will likely have no issues with it if he gives you VPN access.

Lots of options...

This. I use it all the time for remote support.

What's wrong with Logmein?

I'd use logmein over VNC or GoToMyPC. But I'd use Remote Desktop over logmein.

(Remote desktop is a windows-integrated solution).  You will have to set some network stuff up to allow RDP though so I'd suggest logmein.
