I use it at work , im a mechanic . I also use it at home to tighten shit and loosen shit . Any car or motorcycle, boat, trailer owner should have one . I'm surprised that it has enough power to do the job... Will break off smaller bolt heads no problem. Use mine mostly for changing large amounts of lights, mud flaps, ect on shipping container chassis. Three screws per light. Would take too long to run a airline from the truck, drill then switch to a air ratchet. Tek self drilling screws and you can drill through 1/4" steel and have all three done in under 30 seconds. Can't get the old screws out? Break the heads off in 1/2 a second. And the battery lasts all day. |

Quoted: I see those electric impacts are getting popular but what all are you guys using them for? I'm always looking for an excuse to buy new tools. Just the convenience of not having to run air? I've been scrapping equipment out in an old factory that doesn't have services. I would have been SOL without my Dewalt. |

Snap-Off? Get their stripped bolt head socket set, comes with metric/SAE. Impact looking short sockets with spiral flutes inside. I bought a set when they first come out, have saved my ass many times. They will grip a 1/8" protruding rusted manifold bolt head like no other.
I like their $120 creeper too, lifetime garantee, really heavy duty, made in USA. Other than that, sockets and combo wrenches. I think they make the best still in that category. I also have a Blue-Point pair of tin shears I bought over 20 years age that will still cut a sheet of paper they are so sharp. Last I looked they were still made the same. |
