Good Show. Kind of like Burn Notice, but a little less cheesy.

The basic story is that a computer system was developed as a response to 9/11 by a man that listens to phone conversations and security video feeds, etc... to identify possible terrorists threats for the govt.

In it's current configuration it only monitors NYC.

A "side effect" of this "computer" is that it identifies individual threats, like spouse murders, or gang violence, etc... before it occurs.

It gives out just a social security number and nothing more.  It could belong to the victim, or the criminal.

It was programmed this way by the creator to protect the the expansive
info that is collected from being used for other purposes.

The government is not interested in the "little" crimes, just mass destruction events.

This bothers the creator to the point he cannot live with it, so he hires an ex-spy type to do the investigative and interaction work to resolve the "cases".

I've been watching it since it started. I like it, though the guy's voice is a bit annoying. Some decent gun pron, and not really any anti-gun message that I've noticed yet.

My GF and I are hooked. She DVRs it so we're a few episodes behind.

Loved seeing the CZ-52 in the episode where Elias is revealed. I recognized it instantly and told my GF, "Hey, that's a Czech CZ-52. I've got one of those."

Good show, and the ratings are good (and actually getting better), which means it's likely to be on for a good long time.

John isn't ruthless enough, but I still like it. He tends to take a little satisfaction in the small thing...."I found your car..."

One of the best shows on TV right now, in my opinion. My wife and I can't wait for it to come on each week. Not a bad episode yet.

I loved that line last night, coupled with his evil, shit eating grin.

I kind of like his laid back demeanor.

My wife seems to think the incredible good looks of Mr Caviezel more than make up for any other deficiencies in the show.

I don't know much about him, but he seems like a good actor. I liked him in Madison.

I was a little worried in the first episode when he kept shooting perps in the leg.  I thought it was going to be one of those "oh gee I am so guilty for all the killing I had to do as .gov operative I am just going to wound people from now on".  But they must have gotten a technical advisor who called BS and got them turned around.

I especially like the episode where he ends up sitting at a table with a serial rapist.  After a few uncomfortable questions the screen goes black.  Very cool ending.

I think the chemical bath got used on that guy. I think that will come up in later episodes, Finch will not approve. Finch is a little squeemish about the violence that John occassionally lets loose with.

I've been "hooked" since the first episode and I like it a lot.

Seems like a lot of my favorite programs  are starting to suffer, so I'm glad that some new ones seem worth watching.

CSI just wasn't the same without Grissom, I don't care for NCIS Los Angeles and the regular NCIS, one of real faves,  seems to suffer from some really bad scripts from time to time.  The recent episode (200th) was pretty poor.

CSI New York is OK, CSI Miami...meh except the guy who does the photogtaphy should get a raise and a medal.  Mentalist is also a favorite and of course-Justified.

It's one of the better shows on right now I think. I'm not interested in that 30 Rock, the Offfice, or other stupid shows and don't care about them. This is one that looks like it made it through the gauntlet initially for a second season and beyond.

Burn Notice?
White Collar?

White Collar jumped the shark with the Nazi Treasure episodes. Not that the fantastical Nazi Treasure trove was too far fetched, but that Neal or his buddy Mozzie would not have disappeared the second they could get their hands on some new IDs after they had the treasure. That should have been the end of the series, Neal and Mozzie disappear with the Treasure. Burke left holding his dick and wondering whether his wife still love him when he is patrolling mall parking lots.

I like it. Some of the episodes seem to be rubber stamped though. They need an ongoing story line which they may be trying to develop with several new repeat characters.

lol.. I missed the 2ns season, but caught the gist in the first episode of this season when they helped recover it.

There is the son of the old business partner, the 2 cops who are playing more of a role, the "fixer" political lady, and the new hacker villain.

It's a start.

CSI: Miami was the standard by which all photography was judged by!

Hawaii: Five-O has some amazing shots also so I wonder if the same guy is shooting it as CSI: M?

Agreed.  15 minutes of plot crammed into 3 hours.  Waaay too artsy for me to appreciate.
