Ok...I am NOT one to go to the Dr. or take meds unless I am REALLY sick...I have a bad toothache, and wife has some Lortabs 7.5 mg
I am ready for bed, numb...and freakin WIRED!!!  Last time I took a pain pill, it knocked me out and I slept like a baby!! NOw.....I am
wired out, ready to pull my engine from my truck and rebuild it......WTF??? I WANT to go to sleep.....but can't...Is there speed in Lortabs? |

Haha.....I got hydrocodone for my wisdom teeth being pulled. They were 5/500's. I took 1 and it didn't do anything for the mild discomfort I was feeling, so I took 2 more within 20 minutes of the first one. I then went shopping/ran errands for 2 hours and came back home. My mom called to check in on me as I was living at home and I told her I was fine, had taken 3 pills and went to run errands. She freaking flipped out (she's an RN) about me taking 3 hydrocodone because it normally knocks motherfuckers out or they're loopy as fuck but it didn't phase me one bit.

Funny this thread should pop up now. I never take drugs, not even when I'm sick. This morning I woke up 2 hours early for work because i had a red-hot poker being driven into the back of my neck and couldn't turn my head to the left. If I turned my head there was a white flash of light behind my eyes, and I would shit myself and forget my name for a half-hour. Called in, stood in the shower as hot as i could stand it on my neck, then drove to the hospital. After a few x-rays and painful poking and prodding it was determined that I have pulled a muscle in my neck almost to the point of tearing it. I got a shot, and picked up a prescription for 7.5-500 lortab and methocarbam (muscle relaxer). So far I have taken 2 of the lortab, everything got real "soft" and i have been in a happy mood. I just took the first MR and am waiting on that fun to begin. |

I had a problem with painkillers for a few years and that is the exact reason why I got hooked on them. It put me in an amazing mood and allowed me to work my ass off at a really hard customer service job. I was super upbeat all the time I flew around and got everything done way before anyone else. It caught up to me thought and became a living hell. My dad found out what I was doing it progressed to way worse things and he put a stop to it. He got me help.
A lot of my friends completely destroyed their lives. Everyone seemed to bounce back and got clean though after a few years of hard abuse. Thank god. |

No stimulants in lortab, but rather has the same ingredients as Vicodin but in a different dose (think of it as an extra strength Vicodin). People respond differently, but more than likely it will have sedative effects. |
| You're very lucky my friend good on you for pulling yourself out of it alone. My addiction became so bad I was spending my whole pay check every week on oxycotin. It honestly seemed harmless at the time. I was playing college ball at the time and some of the bothers were bringing them in by the zip lock bag full and selling them for pretty cheap. A bunch of us were hooked it was awful. I'm so glad those days are behind me. I stil carry a lot of guilt around for some of things I put my family and friends through. I destroyed some relationships I used people. It turned me into an evil worthless person. I'm glad I got that shit over with when I was still young enough to bounce back from it. |

I am prob. going to hate myself in the morning, but I am 2 drinks deep in some Jack and cokes now...I am numb, tree huggin happy and still wired....starting to get that sinking feeling sitting here on he couch with the laptop 
Going to finish tis last drink and try to lay dow.n ...if I don't report back, I am prob. passed ott....lol wow.....ok, see you fuckers in he morning....

pain pills are awesome when REALLY NEEDED...some disagree, but nobody deserves to be in pain..I don't know you anybody could be "wired " off of an opiate pain killer..I had a minor surgery and got Oxycodone...Made me feel no pain, and comfy as hell when I was watching my movies..

I am on a 5/325 lortab for an extracted tooth. When I learned that there are higher doses available, I took two of them to see what would happen. I was quite relaxed for an hour or so. Then I had to take a nap for about 90 minutes.
So I just stick to one pill, and have saved my last 4 for night time use. It's ibuprofen and naproxen through the day, and lortab at night. |
| As long as you have self control and use them as prescibed you will be fine. The potential for abuse is with everything now days. I get pain meds for the back injury I have along with a undiagnosed condition. I always have over half the prescription left every month, and being a prepper I just vac seal them and keep it. I find myself enduring the pain so I can avoid the meds to save them, crazy but it is what I do. |

Had to pass a 4mm kidney stone using nothing but Aleve thanks to that. |

Opiates do this to me too. I got IV morphine once and it made me hyper and itchy all over, but I forgot about my appendix. I was too busy scratching. 
Be careful with alcohol with some of this stuff. Some of the painkillers have Tylenol in them that multiply the effect of the opiates, and Tylenol + Alcohol = Liver Damage. Same with ibuprofin, be nice to your liver. |

| When I take Vicodin I get groggy. When I take Percocet I feel like superman and can't sit still at least for a couple hours. I've never been prescribed Loritab but I assume it would have the same affect on me that Vicodin does. I can see how people can get hooked on pain killers. I only take them on rare occasion when I'm really hurting. Other than that I take ibuprofen but even that is maybe once a month. |

And no, I didn't "steal IT" from my wife...she knew my tooth was hurting, she has a few Lortabs left from her surgery..So yes...technically my wife and I are both harden thugs now....plz...call the PoPo and send them directly to my house. I can't live with myself knowing we both broke the law

| Note: don't take drugs not prescribed for you. You're getting 'uppity' about something when it's your fault. I love pain meds. In the past five years I have had a lot: pulled muscles, nerve pain, blown knees and shoulders, gout, scrapes and sprains, stings (jellyfish) and so on. When I was younger I used to 'suck it up like a man' but come to find out that basically took a toll when I should have sought medical attention. My sinuses are all jacked-up because I used to tough-out serve infections because going to the doc was for weak people. |
