A pal of mine tried to buy some electronic gear from a seller in another state. Sent the payment...had some contact with the seller..then nothing. It appears that you can offer stuff for sale online...accept payment...not send product....and no law enforcement agency local here..local to the shithead...or postal will do anything about it.
Anybody have any experience getting some sort of legal satisfaction out of a deal like this? |

Where does the suspect live? You can always ask for help from members here. This is a great problem solving group. I had thought of this already...but have not. Was going to post something about it in the perp's hometown state forum. This is my business partners deal...ham radio/cb radio gear to the tune of $1060. So just what do I ask an arfcommer from another state to do to help? I believe he paid by postal moneyorder...

Sending a large amount to pay for something he should have used Postal Money Orders and sent it Delivery Confirmation. That way if the seller tried to stiff him, he could get Postal Inspectors in on it.
I've used Postal Inspectors and had favorable outcomes when dealing with dead beats or someone trying to rip me off. |

seriously now a days if you dont pay by paypal or USPS M.O.... you are oblivious to what this world had become... i always use paypal or USPS M.O ONLY.... and only accept the same... atleast if you do get ripped off you can get your money back pretty easily. Send me a USPS MO and try and get the money back. It is a false sense of security. |

Friend went to the post office today..and they told him the sum had to be some un-godly amount before they would/could do anything. |
