| What was the reference someone threw out there about Jorge Nelson killing the cows? What was it's meaning? |
|
Scene: Pete, Delmar and Ulysses have been picked up by George "Baby Face" Nelson in his Model A, who is being chased by the cops. George tells Ulysses to take the wheel while he fires his "chopper" –– Tommy gun –– at the pursuing cops, all while laughing maniacally. Suddenly, he sees a bunch of cows in a field. He says "Cows. I hate cows worse than coppers" and sprays one with several .45 rounds. At this point Delmar says "Oh, George, not the livestock". And yes, it's funnier on film. ![]() |
