I just figured my taxes for 2011 and like many of you I paid, well alot. How can the Federal Government collect these kind of taxes from almost everyone in the United states and still need more? These politicians are criminals and are stealing money from it's citizens.
Personally I feel everyone in the Country needs to pay at least $10k a year in taxes so you can all feel the outrage that I do. As a side if you collect any money from the .Gov for any reason then you are part of the problem. Have a good weekend!!! |

One year, after having the usual taxes taken out of every paycheck all year, I still owed a 5 figure total.
I stared in disbelief at the return, went out and got drunk. I try to not even think about it any longer. The government steals from the producers and will continue to loot for as long as they can. I was a big fan of Herman Cain for his 999 plan....that type of reform puts EVERYONE into the funding stream, not just those of us that work and make a decent living. |

I remember my biggest year of earnings I owed the Feds $57,000.00. Just sat back and said WTF. ![]() This. I paid in 47K over 2009, and when I filed my taxes, I owed 13K more I hate the subset of our country that decide to steal my money and give it to whatever they feel like. I will stop typing now. |

Quoted: I remember my biggest year of earnings I owed the Feds $57,000.00. Just sat back and said WTF. ![]() That's just fucking horrible. I don't make much ($30k), but I get into arguments/discussions with people at work about taxes. Stupid fucks always blather on about how the "rich" can afford it, and should pay more than anyone else. It's a shame. That would be great but probably will never happen. |

guessing you've never heard of the Earned Income Tax Credit .... which is another govt handout I guess anyone who takes these deductions on their tax forms is a leech. You are damned right, I take every deduction I can. I still pay more than the median household income for my state. I think that I pay my fair share. But FUCK an earned income tax credit. FUCK that. |

I pay about $2000 in federal and recieve a refund of about $400
while I have coworkers that pay less than $500 a year and recieve $2000 and up in returns... and while that is not the $10,000.00 that you want me to pay it is still a large amount of my yearly income... |

Wish it was like that again. I just made under 25k last year Health problems and all. Not bitchin' I had it better than most for a long time. |

I believe it should be made law, that any kind withholding be made illegal. All taxes should be paid, lump sum, on or by April 15th. This would include income taxes at the state and federal level, and property taxes. If people were FORCED to pay this lump sum, annually, and visibly see the amount that they must personally save and prepare for on their own, people would revolt. Instead, the just keep increasing the water temperature a degree at a time... |

Quoted: Quoted: My lowest tax burden in the last five years was about 34,000. 10k would be a breeze. Congrats You must make over 250K a year. Are you a DR or attorney? You are insane. You dont have to make anywhere near 250k per year to owe $34,000 in taxes. A single person making $160,000 per year has a $34,000 tax liability. That is JUST federal income taxes - not your entire tax burden, which includes state income, sales taxes, property taxes, etc. You could make less than $100,000 per year and easily have a 34% tax burden. Also - you dont have to be a Dr. nor an attorney to make over 250k a year. Get off yer judgemental high horse. |

Not saying I don't work, just less and spend more time with the stuff I like to do. |

It is a scam for sure. I was recalled to active duty for most of last year and only had like $40k in taxable income. Had $4,500 withheld and got a refund for $6,400. This is the kind of shit that makes no sense to me, I am in a similar situation..... I paid the feds nearly 4600 and I am going to get back like 6K????? Math how does it fucking work?? I mean shit if the feds wanted to give me back like 2K becuase I ahve 2 kids fine I aint gonna argue but seriously how am I going to get more back than I paid in ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Not true I made over 100k and paid well less than 34K. I do have 3 children and a few other deductions so maybe thats the difference? |
