Fuck the UFC
“The reality of it is we’re going into other countries now. If you’re sitting in China, you want to see a United States Marine commercial? Holy (expletive), no! It’s all part of the growing pains of building a business like this and building the sport.” - Dana White I understand it's a business, I understand there's some logic to parts of this decision, but the above statement and the ass kissing of other countries and essentially saying FU to the USMC gives me enough reason to say fuck the UFC. I know many of you will say I'm being a sensitive pussy and it's their business, yada, yada, yada. To me this is another American brand saying fuck America for the sake of a few dollars. I've been a huge UFC fan but think I'll have to try to help grow the MFC or some other organization. Flame away |

UFC style fighting is garbage as everyone goes to the mat. If you go to the floor in a bar fight, the friends of your opponent are going to kick the shit out of you. In a real fight, stay off the ground and keep your back to a wall!
If you find yourself on the floor, drive an elbow into the neck/spine of your opponent and quickly get up off the ground. |

Funny thing about fighting on the ground... Once on the ground, you can't fall any further. And most people don't have any idea how to fight on the ground. And no, you can't just kick them from the high ground, I've tried... Against someone skilled, if you make contact, next thing you know you'll be face in the dirt... Gravity is not your friend. And now you're on their turf. Unless the plan is to throw chairs or bottles on them, or shoot them, I'm not fucking with a guy who is good at fighting on the dirt. |

How hard is it to filter commercials? ![]() Oh, they could... They're just making an excuse. Really it's just an American company ditching its nation completely so it can appeal to a wider audience. Fuck the UFC. Move to China if you love them so much you fuckers. |

Quoted: +1. On the ground is where people get killed. In my experience, real life stand up fight's are little more than extentions of high school fights. Punches get thrown, maybe some blood, but no one's really serious. Once they hit the ground, it's choke hold city. Get a little drunk, get a little angry, next thing you know that blood choke you accidentally got instead of an air choke gets held for 30 seconds to a minute and you've killed a dude**. I've never seen anyone killed in a stand up fight.Quoted: UFC style fighting is garbage as everyone goes to the mat. The dude didn't die, but it was close. |

Move to China if you love them so much you fuckers. The UFC hasn't been a wholly owned American company for about two years now. The Abu Dhabi government owns 10% of the UFC, Dana owns 9%, and the Fertitta brothers each own 40.5%. |

They've been around for roughly 20 years and have been really popular for 10 years or so. How long does a fad last? Probably not too much longer. They are over saturating themselves –– there is some televised event every weekend until March. Probably longer but I only got a short version. I noticed smaller and smaller turnouts for for the PPV events, we pay roughly $1000 per PPV and can't really afford to keep doing it too much longer if the crowds get any smaller. |

The hype seems to be wearing off. It's become to commercial, and White's latest bullshit will alienate some of his more hardcore fans, the millitary. After this garbage I wont pay a dime to see a fight, I don't give a shit if the lord jesus is in the ring. |

Dana White putting business before ties to the USMC, or any other group for that matter? Colour me shocked! ![]() A nice way for them to do this, and still support the troops (and not just recruitment, by showing ads) could be to send some money (only a very, very small percentage of what they make) the way of some Military help groups or something. That would be a win for public relations, a win for wounded troops, and a win overall. Then again, for all I know, they might already donate some of their profits to charities like those. |

Or they could just openly support the troops, and fuck china. |
