They always say ghosts pull "energy" from their surroundings and this is why you feel cold spots, cold drafts, etc...

And then they break out the thermal imager and point to hot spots as proof of activity.

Uh....wtf?

Ahh yes, "paranormal" science. I love watching Ghost Hunter type shows, they are hilarious.
 



Ghost shows up as a hot figure on thermal imager. Ghost also manifests as cold spot.

It would sort of make sense.  If the ghost can show up as a hot figure on thermals when manifesting, it has to get its heat from somewhere.   So, the cold spot would form in the spot from which the the thermal energy was drawn.
