Question for the techno-philes:
My son is wanting to purchase a game that *recommends* 64 bit java to play. The laptop that my son will be using is a 32-bit system. Are those two incompatible or completely unrelated to each other? |

What, is it minecraft or something?
For the vast majority of people 32bit and 64 bit systems really come down to 64 bit being able to handle way more memory. I'd be surprised if that game actually needed a 64 bit OS / computer. Especially a java game, because you don't often see a game that uses that much period. |

Quoted: 64-bit mainly means the game can use more than ~4 gb of RAM. I don't know any game that uses that much. What game is it? (And in most cases 32-bit and 64-bit are perfectly compatible as far as software is concerned.) Microsoft Tic-Tac-Toe v 8.0 (18 gig memory required) |
