Do you wear cuff links?
Would you wear cuff links to work? Dress code is jacket/suit and tie - think gray, charcoal, black, blue and sometimes brown or olive Would you wear cuff links to church? |

The only shirts I have with buttonless cuffs are tuxedo shirts, so that's the only thing I wear cuff links with. If I had more buttonless cuff dress shirts, I'd wear them a lot more, but there's about a $10 premium for them, the last time I checked. I have several sets of vintage cuff links from my grandfathers. ETA: Anytime you wear a suit, cuff links are certainly appropriate. |

I would wear them to work. Especially with a suit.
I don't because dress is casual where I work. I have a couple of shirts that take them and three or four sets of cuff links. One set with the Presidential seal and Ronald Reagan's signature facsimile on the back of them and another set that has the Secret Service Star on them. Both of those were gifts from my father. I also have some jade cuff links and studs and a set of Tiger's eye cuff links and studs. (Both of those are vintage and I have nothing to wear them with.) |

Yeah, I started to like french cuffs more then the typical button cuff. So there for I started collecting cufflinks...it gets expensive eta: I wear them daily since I am in suit everyday and I am 27yrs old. I would ONLY wear them with a suit, not a blazer or sports coat this is my favorite pair |

I only wear them when I am wearing formal wear - tuxedo or white tie. Wearing them with suits was popular in the 1980s - but that passed out of fashion. Most people that I have seen wearing cufflinks are wearing gaudy, flashy types. Its a matter of personal taste - but IMO they look ridiculous when you look at a man and your eyes are drawn immediately to the cufflinks. Understated makes a better statement. |

Mine are simple stainless steel. Well, I have a brass and black stone formal set as well. I like the looks of the coin one above... just not sure when, if ever, I would wear something like that. |
| I bought from http://www.cuff-daddy.com/ and was *very* unhappy. I bought 3 pairs, one along the lines of these, and two others I don't recall. Two of the three sets were so shoddily made that their finish was badly chipped before I even got them. They were not particularly expensive, but that's a pretty poor showing. |

Note that not all buttonless-sleeve shirts have French cuffs. French cuffs are double-thickness at the cuff, and are folded back. Single-thickness buttonless cuffs are also available, which look just like a typical dress shirt, but have a buttonhole where the cuff button would be. For daily wear, I think that a single-thickness buttonless cuff looks better than a French cuff. Garage sales are great places to look for cuff links. January is not a good time for garage sales, though.

Yes, I have 4 pair... Yes, I wore them the past two days... Yes, I wore them to church last time too... GF got me some hand engraved sterling silver Tiffany's cuff links for Christmas. About half my shirts are french cuffed, so they get used often. |
