Everyone in the house has or had a nasty cold and I don't want to get it. I thought I was getting a bit of a soar throat yesterday so I took some Cold-eeze. I don't know if this stuff works but I'll do anything if it will keep me from getting sick just in time for Christmas.

It is essentially a ton of vitamins plus zinc in a highly bioavaliable form (meaning it gets absorbed better than most generic vitamins)

The zinc and the Vitamin C are doing the heavy lifting in that package.  Magnesium is helping too.  The echenachia and root wort, or whatever proprietary fairy dust they have in there is just to build a brand around it.

Yes it does work.  Get some zinc lozenges as well.

You really can't overdo it either, your body will just piss out anything it cannot absorb.  So double your doses.  FDA recommended Vitamin C daily values are hilariously low.  Crank it up to 2k mg per day minimum while you are sick.

I swear by it.  Trick is catching it very early.

Right on. I'm going to keep taking them and keep my hands clean and hope for the best.

No, it doesn't.

However it's your money, spend it as you like.

There's some evidence that zinc can shorten the duration of a cold.

It really doesn't work. Doesn't mean you shouldn't take it if you feel like it helps though.

I've never used Cold-eeze, but I do use Zicam.

If Cold-eeze works the same way, you need to start taking it the very first time you feel a cold-like symptom and stick with it.

My doctor says it does.  He says it works well to make a profit for the company selling it.

Never tried cold eeze, but I eat the heck out of some Airborne.

I always take it when I feel like i'm getting sick, and it very rarely gets any worse.
So, either I have the world's best immune system, or it really does work for me.
