I want to jump on the bandwagon, but can't decide on phone, so I thought I'd ask GD.

I live out in the sticks, so the phone will hopefully replace my 3G air card as primary internet access.  It needs to have the mobile hotspot.  Carrier is verizon.

I'm looking forward to the GPS map with traffic; I want a good camera, no facebook/twitter, no business needs.  I use my current phone as a mp3 player at gym; I'm concerned one of the larger phones will be too intrusive for workouts.  I'd like something fairly rugged and hopefully somewhat moisture resistant, that I can just throw in my pocket like I do with current phone.

- iPhone 4S:  Like the size and screen looks good.  Only get 7 GB of data for $70/month.  I have a macbook at work, and PC at home, fine with apple products.

-Motorola Razor:  Like the fact that the 4G plans give 12 GB of data for $70/month.  I'm not in a 4G area, but it's close and growing.  I've read more than a few reviews that bitch about battery life.  It's thin, and maybe on the large side.

-Samsung Nexus: Seems too big, camera only 5 MP.

-Other considered, initial price not that important considering a 2 year plan $$$.

I am currently rocking the Droid Razr.   Buy one and dont look back.  I just ordered the Blue tooth remote for it  so that i can sit in my recliner and rock the internet on my HD dock watching my 60 inch TV .  The HD dock converst the phone into a desk top computer as one of your dock profiles with a full version of Firefox while also showing the phone's desktop in a pane. You can make an recieve call and surf the internet at the same time. I can also access my media server and show slide shows or video as well.

Then there is the nav Dock i have in my car. Dont get me started ............  Motorola provides the acccesories that allow you to fully leverage the technology in a very slick package.

I would still recommend the Galaxy Nexus.  The screen size makes it sound huge, but honestly it isn't that much bigger than the iphone overall.  The nexus has more of it's frontal area dedicated to the screen, and the aspect ratio means that though it will be a bit taller, isn't a whole lot wider.  Also if you ever want to start modding it,  the nexus will be the easiest to mess with (the droid razr, like all newer Motorolas has a locked bootloader, which means no aosp roms).

Any lte phone is going to get notably shorter battery life when compared to a similar 3g only phone.  This can be mitigated by disabling the 4g radio when you aren't using the internet (though this often requires you to root the phone to do).

As for the camera, megapixel rating is not the end all be all feature. The size and quality of the image sensor is the important part if the equation (though unfortunately this is hard to quantify in a way that consumers understand, so we just get the mp’s).  My Galaxy S only has a 5mp camera, but it takes much better pictures than the 8mp camera on my buddy's evo.
