I don't get to see my nieces and nephews much. Most of them are teenagers now.
They were kind of nervous when I was around for the holidays, but a couple of years ago they friended me on facebook. I was able to see their comments about random crap, and pictures they uploaded from things they were doing. I was also able to post commentary on those posts and pictures, usually something funny, but occasionally advice. Anyway, now when I visit on the holidays, they talk to me constantly about what they are doing, and they are a lot more comfortable in our interactions. Conversation flows very freely, and I think facebook facilitated this. I think it's great. |

Facebook can be a good thing and not all bad or uncool. I recently scanned my Dad's Vietnam slides and converted them to digital and shared them on Facebook for other family members to see. Also, he was able to get in contact with someone he served with on Facebook so they could see the pics as well. |

We even have my great aunt who is in her 80's on there, she is on there daily!! And then my mom is there and my brother got on board too a few months back and I think he likes it. All the neices and nephews are on there too. I am near 500 friends now I think..... |
