I think they suck. They were the first NuMetal band and I hate them because their singer sounds like a whinny, emo version of Kurt Cobain who went slightly metal rather than shitty punk. Fuck TOOL, they suck ass. |

Fuck TOOL, they suck ass. Yeah, well I hate Kurt Cobain. His music was decent, but it's only still played before he blew off his own head. |

Often, I derive meaning for my life through my love of labor, but not the labor that makes me. I like doing things differently than others and with better reasons and results to back me up. I also understand that the people 'on top' got there through competence, success, attrition, or cutting throats. I, in turn, make sure I'm playing a better game - tweaking plans, reorganizing, etc. all the time. Going Galts rubs me the wrong way in all areas. Yes, things suck, but play a better game. Do what GE has done - hire every grade A accountant and lawyer and plan a better fight, not fight a better fight. Giving up doing what I like? I run my own path, people can try to change the world around me (and they succeed), but it doesn't change me. John Galt let people change him first, that's where he went wrong. In the story, it might seem the world FORCED him in some predicament, but in the end, it was his life to own up to or run away with. He didn't cut out his own special version of heaven in his world where he was still the same man, doing the same thing he wanted to do. Portraying yourself as a refugee is pathetic. |
