I just built my first computer. Plan on using it to game, porn, home use, you know the usual stuff. Any ideas to tweak the OS? I will be overclocking once I get it optimized. Here is my setup.
Asus Z68 Deluxe i7 2600K Hyper 212 Plus CPU cooler Corsiar Vengence 16GB Ram OCZ 120GB SSD (For OS and drivers) OCZ 60GB SSD (For caching HHD using RST tech) Seagate 1TB 7200 (For storing data, games, etc) Diamond Radeon HD6950 2GB Video card Corsiar TX850M Power supply HAF 932 Advanced Case OS- Windows 7 64 bit |

I would get a second 1TB harddrive and then put in a raid 1 configuration so they are mirrored and your data is safe in case of a bad drive. Or add in a USB 3 card if your mother board doesn't have one and then get a 3TB USB 3.0 backup drive. Preventing data loss is the only thing that see that needs to be tweaked. |

I can't imagine any "tweaks" outside of some overclocking on the cpu and gpu that would net you any gains that would be noticable to the eye. Keeping the hard drive defragged would be my best advice.....unless you want to send me your pc setup and let me "test" it for you
