Hello everyone... question or you guys.

Tonight my girlfriend and I went to gander mtn. in search of some snow camo. Well that yielded no results... Anyway I came across tannerite and had always wanted to try it so I bought 4 lbs of it.

My question is:

Should I cut the tannerite down to 1/4lb or even less "targets" ?
I want it to last and from what I see on youtube 1/4lb is still a big boom.

What type of container do you guys recommend I use if I cut it down to 1/4lb or so?

I do not want to blow stuff up, just know if I hit my target.

Thanks guys!

You should shoot 4 lbs of it at once.

ETA only knew they existed b/c we've got a 1 month old

A Skoal can full is hardly worth the trouble, We generally use 1/2 liter water bottles or a ziplock sandwich bag full for a decent ka-boom (and I'm thinking that is still around 1 lb)

1.  Go to Wally World or favorite grocer of your choice.

2.  Purchase 1-2 twelve packs of bottled water in 8 oz. bottles.

3.  Empty (or drink) water from bottles & let dry.

4.  Upon arrival at range/open field/private property of your choice, mix 1 lb. of tannerite per instructions.

5.  Use a small to medium sized kitchen funnel to fill two 8 oz. bottles equally full.  Note; no spill, no mess, no left-overs.

6.  Enjoy.

I gave you a suggestion. I go through thousands of pounds of a similar explosive a year, and 1/4 pound is too small to bother with.

by all means, waste your money finding this out.

I saw some at a Gander Mountain in NY
I was a bit shocked to see it

I'm also wondering if that's not a good thing. Not sure I want the unwashed masses knowing that. They'll be like "OMG you can buy EXPLOSIVES in a store"
