This video just seems like they are trying to promote and sell a bunch of shit. I do not take part in precision shooting. I hunt, clay, and target shoot. I always just clean by taking some break free and clean the damn guns. For my .22s and AR-15 I just use a barrel snake and be done with it. Am I doing something wrong? My guns keep shooting accurately (for my needs) and reliably says otherwise. What do you guys all do? How much time do you spend? |

you do what i do pretty much..
just use clp and a patch/brush snake to clean it then wipe it all down and then put a thin coat of clp down the bore and on my bcg or whatever parts require a little bit of lube on my handgun/rifle and it's back into the bag until the next range trip. i have a set of brushes and picks too that i use here and there but if you clean your gun often you usually don't need them. i also have copper solvent but never really used it as i've never needed to. people who put a ton of rounds through their gun in between cleanings may need a variety of solvents and more intense cleaning ritual to get all the shit outa there though. |

I think the video was made for people who are completely new to firearms, who else would like up an instructional video on the subject?
Anyway, I use CLP and a brush for most of my weapons cleaning needs, although I do use a solvent to break up the carbon because I am lazy
