I used to run 124gr +P JHP and still have quite a bit of that and 124gr FMJ NATO left for my unsuppressed pistols.  When I do run out of both, I will start using the 147gr shown below.

All I buy now is 147gr FMJ and JHP since I have a suppressor and threaded barrels on 3 of my 9mm pistols.

My 19 has 124+P Gold Dots in it.

My 17 has 124gr FMJ range ammo.

Having shot living things with both, it doesn't matter; handgun rounds suck.

The Mrs. carries a Glock 19.  In warmer weather, she carries Corbon DPX.  However in the winter and heavy clothing season she carries Hornady critical defense FTX.  She figures that the Corbon will clog up in the heavy clothes that is why she shoots them every October.

Depends on the weather.
Warm weather..........Hornaday 124gr XTP
Cold weather ............115gr FMJ
I think in cold weather, it would be a good probability than an attacker would be wearing a heavy coat,
And I would need the penetration of a FMJ more than the expansion of a hollow point.

Flame away................
