Compatriots,
Just got the latest and last issue of Gun Week. It says Farewell Issue on the cover. thanks Wired1979 |
| I picked up a bunch of recent gun mags for 10 cents apiece at a garage sale. I read about 2 of them and realized why I quit buying them years ago. They have not gotten any better since then, in fact, they have cut their size, added even MORE ad's and the writers, other then a couple, write quite boringly. |

Ditto on that. When American Survival shut down, they gave me the balance of my subscription from Gun World, not worth the effort to tried to your money back. Just chock it off as a loss, like lost fired cases(I am a reloader).

Any idea what happens to current subscribers? do they have any plans to refund or are they just out the money? wired1979 It's been my personal experience that once my $ leaves my hands, it never returns........................ ![]() |

I get SGN to check for deals and read the gunsmithing / Fortier columns. Everything else in most gun print media is just advertisements. Can't remember if it was Guns and Ammo or Guns or some other similar sounding magazine a few months ago that reviewed the Ruger AR15... it was shooting near 2-3 MOA, looked plain jane aside from being a piston gun, and I think the MSRP was 1300 or 1500 dollars. Yet, the writer wouldn't stop heaping praise on it, and about what a great entry AR it was. That sort of reporting is rampant. Most of the time I just read a gun mag for the pretty pictures, cause the content is nil. There are occasionally good handloading articles in some of the major publications though... |
