| A friend of mine called me yesterday to tell me he picked up his new kel tec p3at. He said since it had no safety he would probably carry it with a full mag and empty chamber. He then asked me if he pulled the trigger would the gun load the first round for him? Why Larry Why!!! |

Quoted: Your friend should not own a firearm. That's the most idiotic conclusion one could draw from this post. Educate your friend. He is ignorant about guns, but ignorance is easily cure by having someone who knows impart that knowledge to him. There was a time, for all of us, when we didn't know dick about guns. Pass on what you have learned. |

Pass on what you have learned. He should have seeked the knowledge BEFORE he bought. Ask the stupid questions first. Then after getting educated, buy. It's dumbasses like that end up on the 6pm news with a ND that results in an injury or worse. Maybe the OP can straighten out his buddy before he does something stupid. I just spent the better part of a year helping a good friend buy his first handgun and AR, showing him safety, maintance and how to shoot. He asked all the right and sometimes wrong questions, before he committed to buy. Now he's a AR junkie... Just because some person can own a firearm, does not mean they should. There are a few on this board that I have had the misforutune to meet that should never be allowed within 1000 yards of a weapon. |

Picked it up realized I know nothing and stuck it in the closet and left it there untill I took NRA safety course. |

You missed a great oppurtunity......
Should've told him, "if it dosent load itself from an empty chamber, take it back and raise hell. The older ones had trouble with that, make sure they give you the 'new style' and it should work correctly. Dont let up 'til they give you another gun, a new style one. Raise your voice if you have to" |

No, "Get in line" is not the same as "Get ready to play". |

He should have seeked the knowledge BEFORE he bought. You know, that would have been so much sweeter if you had a basic grasp of the English language. He should have seeked sought the knowledge BEFORE he bought.
Rhyming, and all of that. See what I mean? But it is too late now. Such a pity. |
