Came across an app in the android market that will let you monitor your car thru it and a obd2 adapter.
The app is called Torque, https://market.android.com/details?id=org.prowl.torque&hl=en
I fond a Bluetooth adapter on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/110709088234?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
It will let you see the codes the you may get when the check engine comes on.

You can watch a lo of different sensor and see what they are doing.
Don't know what if anything I am going to do with it.

For $25 I can check and reset codes with out going to the parts store to have them check them.
Here a screen shot from my truck. From my HP touchpad

I've had it for around a year.  It's awesome, and worth it for checking codes alone.  But the real time data logging is awesome for performance cars, (or if you are one of those weird diesel truck guys that like a million gauges).
