This place can help. Very cool stuff, that I'd love to incorporate one day myself. |

Looks COOL!........if I ever disappear and they can't find me, the cats maybe feasting on me in one of those secret rooms. That one with the library behind the library reminds me of what it is said about Tracey Adams about her movies. As I go through that site, talk about the modern version of the Keep and the Priesthole. Also, the basic thing about being hidden......don't let the most basic thing around you give it away. As they said for looking for hidden cargo holds on drug boats, look for things that have no reason for being there. Very cool indeed! __________________________________________________________________________ ("Doctor, this room they locked us in is 30 feet long yet the stairway we can down is only twenty feet."––Romana about to discover the secret vault, (w,stte), Dr.Who, "City of Death") |

If I ever win the lottery, ima buy a few thousand acres in the middle of fuckin nowhere (mebbe the ozarks) and build a goddamned castle.
And yes, there will be many a stuper sekret rooms in the place, along with a goddamned underground garage+long ass access tunnel ala batman. 150+ MPH before ever leaving the inside of your garage? Yes please ...now I have the urge to go buy some powerball tickets |

Right now, as my dreams cross with reality, the dreams are winning out slightly, but not totally. I mean, do I want a bedroom like this? Plausibly, but the thing about the movies is that all the normal things in life one does, such as dusting, is usually done by lots and lots of people one never sees. But how extensive of an underground system? Well, considering the wild fire potential around here, the more that is underground when things get burnt to the ground, there might be some value in that.......though right now, I'm just thinking tunnels, armory, and maybe, other facilities of a Tier IIA Safehouse (private residence with capabilities that might be used for Tier II standards, but not designed for it). Perhaps as extensive as Tanis's lair, but neater, better organized, perhaps like Jean-Pierre's place in "Ronin" (ie, better patch up capability than just first aid). The thing is, the way I see it, is building a tunnel system between the house, the garage, the greenhouses, maybe the hanger, one does that with a back hoe and some kind of pre fab tunnel, bury it with a Bobcat. (I suppose, CE construction like that is not really my line). Of course, then there is that other issue as well. For the perfect complex built, will one be able to get around if they break a leg and end up on crutches? Assuming they get that far........... ________________________________________________________________ ("I set dinner on the dining room sideboard at six. Breakfast is ready at nine. I don't stay after dinner. Not after it begins to get dark. We live in town, nine miles, so there won't be anyone around if you need help... We couldn't even hear you. No one could. No one lives any nearer than town... No one will come any nearer than that. In the night... In the dark."––Mrs. Dudley, (w,stte), "The Haunting") |
