i'm putting in some slate tile, i've done it before and gave up on perfect lines because i dont think any 2 tiles are the same size and i'm not cutting every tile, the problem is grouting. The last section i did was about 120 square ft and i think kidney stones would be easier to deal with, its nothing like grouting ceramic, all the little holes and ridges make it a bitch to clean
i've heard sealing before grouting makes it a little easier, any other tips? |

But you'll want to use sanded grout for the bag. Grout bags are more commonly used for porous sandstones and marbles to prevent the grout from staining the natural stone. But you can use it on your slate, it will just take a little longer, however the clean-up will be much easier.
