How did I go so long without trying this beverage of the gods?

($9/6 might have had something to do with it, too.)

I will have to try that.

Travel to Dublin to get it on tap, the best I ever had.

The Guinness was pretty good to!

Was out to dinner last night, and ordered a Guinness.

Me: "I'll have a Guinness"
Waitress:  "We have '_insert name here_' Stout, it's the same thing."
Me:
Waitress: ".....I'll check to see if we have Guiness."

5 minutes later, she comes back to the table.

Waitress: "Here's a Guiness...I could tell that anything else wouldn't do for you..."

Damn pricey in my part of the world, but I may have to get a 6 pack this Friday...

Murphy's is better.

I literally just had one.  In my top 3 favorite beers, especially when drank in an irish pub on draught.  I really don't know how people can say they hate it while sucking down a natural light.

I usually drink Guinness (my rott is named Guinness ) but try some Samuel Smiths Imperial Stout....

This.
Best served from the tap, and NOT refrigerated/chilled.
Should be at around 10 deg F below average room temp ( think wine/beer/vegetable cellar temps, for those that live in places these are common) or about 50-55 deg F
Not being a snob here, it really is WAY better this way than chilled, as I discovered while on port call in England.

LOL, So chase the Guinness with a Shocktop?

Years back I would always take a vacation day on St Patrick's day. Sleep in, then get up and buy a 6 pack of Guiness and buy four cheeseburgers from Wendys. Then me and the black lab would sit on the front porch and eat two hamburgers each. The lab would sleep by my chair as I drank Guiness and watched the cars go by.

I miss that ol'dog....

In order of best:

Straight from James Gate
From a tap
Poured into a glass from the cans

Bottles are meh.

Oh and welcome, my son.

I usually buy 6-10 packs of 8 cans when they drop to $8-9 a box. That happens once a year if I'm lucky. I'd buy more if I had more money. I actually haven't had any alcohol in a while though so I guess that's a moot point now.

I like both. If it started off chilled I want it to stay chilled. If it was warm when I bought it then it can go either way.

All Pilots are Drunks and Perverts.

That's about the sales price I get it so if I saw that I'd buy at least 2 of those if not more. Last time I bought $80 worth and got 10 packs. I gave 2 away unfortunately.

I never cared for Extra Stout. Foreign Extra Stout is actually okay. Black Lager is okay as well. I'd stick with the regular draught though.
