The Supreme Court has always fascinated me. Seems like it would be the ultimate job for any lawyer.
ETA: was noticing the religion of SCOTUS members and got me to looking. The religious background of the current justices is pretty narrow. Pretty Much Roman Catholicism and Judaism. John Roberts: RC Stephen Breyer: J Elena Kagan: J Ruth Bader Ginsburg: J Anthony Kennedy: RC Samuel Alito: RC Clarence Thomas: RC Antonin Scalia: RC Sonia Sotomayor: RC So that gives us 66% RC and 33% Jewish. For reference: Us Population is 24% RC and 1.2% Jewish. Looks like Roman Catholics and Jews do a good job of producing smart lawyers. This is not a bash thread on religion so please don't start. Full disclosure: My mother was baptist and my dad was Catholic. I was in both. My wife is Baptist so we used to go to a neutral church or no church. |
