Man, I got my paycheck and my Bonus, and a special $250 bonus check today at work. All together, the checks total $9650. [BD] Now, I like the gross check numbers, but with what the feds, and state takes out, plus my stock purchasing, and 401k, and etc, It all takes about $4K of it. This is for the Feds and government workers on the board [moon] Fuck the poor, fuck the old, fuck the sick, you all could get your own money. [BD] Anyways, I been itching to hit the gun store and add to my collection. Told my one friend, and he wants me to spend it on the crew, and treat everyone to the nudie bars and the champagne room. [sex] Anyways, what is the biggest check you have ever gotten. This wont be the last one, I will tell you that. It feels good. I need to go get laid tonight. [sex] Also, dont think about sticking me for it, I am heavenly armed and off my meds today. [BD] c-rock

More Conservatives have been "born" in this manner than any other way. An old boss of mine once said "The more money I made, the more Republican I voted." (Course that was way back when Republican meant fiscal conservative) Me - $23K . Sale of my house (net of mortgage)

$150,000 check. Took a second out on the house to due a major remodel. The check was sent to me to spend on the house. It did enter my mind about blowing off the house and just having fun then go bankrupt.

A check made out to me? $22,000. Biggest check I have ever handled (I worked in a bank for a little bit) was for $15 Million.

I got a check for @ $25,000 when I sold my condo in 1980 and got a wild hare to cash it. The bank would only give me $12,000 as they claimed that's all they had. I bought gold Kruggerands with it and financed a trip to Hawaii, Australia and other ports in the Pacific. Gold was soaring. I carried $3K in gold coin through customs in Australia in my pocket, highly illegal, and all they were interested in was seeing if I had pot. The wife recently WROTE a check for $800,000 to the Feds.

finance is a cool field, that field needs some honest people. The problem with finance is that the lure of money manage to corrupt a lot of people. They need more people whose interest in finance is academic, who don't care about the pay, and just love what they do.

Funniest check story: My sis was working for a charity in DC and was to receive a check from the Gates Foundation (as much as I despise the man at least he gives his wife something to do by giving some of it away). They send the check regular mail and of course it get s lost. After a while she calls and they say no problem we'll just send another one out. I guess they weren't worried about someone trying to forge the first lost check. Just imagine the ID you'd need to cash a $900,000+ check. [:)]
