I went NRA life two years ago, last November I took advantage of the offer to upgrade to Endowment for a significant discount. Should I be expecting the NRA to send me a "Upgrade to Patron for 1/2 off!" ad this November, or do those deals stop after Endowment?

ETA Got an offer to upgrade to Patron with my new membership card for $300. NRA Patron member at 23 (Well, 24 by the time the check clears.)

Not bad

+1. I'm a life member, and when becoming a life member, I asked to be removed from all marketing mails, lists, calls, etc.

I still get all that garbage. They're not getting another f-ing penny from me.

Sir, FWIW I've been a Benefactor member for about ten years and a life member since the mid '70s.  As has already been posted "it never stops".  I now get mail offers to become a "Golden Eagle" for the low, low price of $200.00/year for life!  Honestly, if you never respond to any of their mailings they'll eventually stop sending them.

In my humble opinion as with any membership type organization the NRA has to generate revenue to pay for the programs they have, as well as their continuing efforts to lobby congress and pursue legeslative actions.  There's a reason congress considers the NRA the most powerful lobby organization in the country.  Therefore the membership becomes the revenue source.  Yes I support them and believe in their cause.  I do send them money when I think I can afford it.  7zero1 out.

After Life I never got mailers and now I'm a Patron.

Too bad it doesn't have any significance other than a donation level.

Junk mail I pitch. I know it's hard to avoid, but would still be nice if they stopped like I asked. I know they need to raise money, so save the postage stamp and don't mail it to me.

The phone calls are what really piss me off. Completely inexcusable, seeing I asked NOT to be contacted, AND I am on the do-not call list. Both state and federal.

Try again.  I am a Benefactor Life Member, and I hardly get any mail from them at all.

Call NRA Member Services: 1-877 NRA-2000 (1-877-672-2000)

I can do that. The problem is, I shouldn't have to call every 6 months to remind them to leave me alone.

No, you shouldn't.

If that doesn't work, contact fellow Arfcom member DirectAction, who is on the NRA Board of Directors.  He will gladly help you.

Same here!

Now I do get some ILA mailings, but I don't mind.   When ever I do donate these days it is always to the ILA or PVF.
