[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Sarah Palin 2012? (Page 1 of 2)

Ken Vogel and I both have sources telling us that calls were made on behalf of a mystery candidate to various early states to determine presidential filing deadlines.

The calls were made by representatives of the law firm Baker Hostetler - a firm that employs lawyer Mark Braden, who represents Sarah PAC, her political action committee.
As Ken notes, while he nor representatives of Palin’s campaign would comment on the calls, Palin is the only GOP politician eying the presidential race who is represented by the firm.

The current thinking in GOP election law circles is that the first hard cut-off for entering the race is Oct. 28, when presidential candidates who hope to appear on the ballot in the New Hampshire primary would be required to submit a filing fee from a federally registered presidential campaign committee.

meh...It will liven things up a little.

ETA....If she gets the nod, she'll get my vote.  Of course, that goes for pretty much anybody.

Run, Sarah, run!  And not for the reason you think...

I know there is much hate here for her because she's a Christian and doesn't believe in evolution, but I like her better than the others.  Sorry.
10/4/2011 1:59:20 PM EDT
[#19]
I'd vote for her today.
She is what we need a regular person not a politician
10/4/2011 2:01:31 PM EDT
[#20]
She makes my skin crawl
10/4/2011 2:07:06 PM EDT
[#21]
She has said a lot of stuff I agree with, and most of the "OMG she is an idiot, LOL" comments are from folks with mommy issues or who fear the vagina.

She might not be who I end up voting for, but I'll give her the same initial consideration I've given (most of) the already announced candidates.  Or she might be an acceptable candidate but there develops that someone else is simply better.  But I haven't put her in the "won't vote for period" catagory with Paul, Romney, and Gingrich.

10/4/2011 2:14:01 PM EDT
[#22]
The was she was demonized by MSM I'm amazed that she would go down a similar road again.

ETA

Edited for clarification.

I would never vote for her.  The media makes her look worse than she is, but I could never see her as the leader of America.
10/4/2011 2:25:41 PM EDT
[#24]
I'd take her over Romney or Cain any day
10/4/2011 2:27:42 PM EDT

Sarah Palin can have my penis, but not my vote.

I've always wanted to look outside her bedroom window and see Russia.

let me get my pom poms

go Palin!!

the whole process got way more interesting –– her first debate will be big and draw huge

All you Palin haters, do us a big favor - when she wins the Presidency, will you please just leave the country and never come back.

Thank you.

We already know exactly how she'll do.  The other wild-eyed evangelical chick in the race is in the toilet and she's more articulate and was given fairly favorable media coverage.

But... Why not?  It's already a circus.  Let's do it.  Let's go Full Retard

We'll just ignore her in the primaries to make sure that can never happen.  It's time for some adult leadership, not someone who asks her kids for a final decision on whether or not she'll fulfill her term as governor.

I've been a Palin supporter from the early days when Glenn Beck had a 5 minute interview with her as "People he'd like to see run for POTUS" back in 2008.

I like Sarah a LOT, and at one time thought she would be an incredible POTUS.

If I thought she stood a modicum of a chance, I would be behind that ticket in a second.

Unfortunately, I don't think this is her time.

She's jumped the shark with many, and ironically, her indecision on running or not running for POTUS has somewhat been the final nail in the coffin.

The media will destroy her.

I'm convinced that CAIN is THE best hope we have right now.

I like his message, I like his demeanor, I like his style, and as ashamed as it makes me to say it (but not because *I* made it an issue), because Cain is a black man, he gives the conservatives an edge and removes this nonsense that Mocha Nero the Boy King is somehow an underdog because of his skin color, and the Tea Party are racists, etc...

I really think Palin doesn't have enough pull anymore to do it in 2012, and in all reality will damage chances to take back our country.

Wait and see how 2016 plays out.  I think if we get Cain in there for 2012, Palin would have a shot at 2016 if Cain doesn't deliver the goods.

I don't like her, but I think they ought to turn her loose into the field. If she isn't desirable, then she won't get the nomination, anyway.
10/4/2011 7:21:14 PM EDT
[#34]
Every since Perry got in the race I expect to hear Benny Hill music at the debates. Might as well add Palin.
10/4/2011 7:21:51 PM EDT
[#35]
She would get my vote in a heartbeat.

The only normal person in the race aside from Cain.
10/4/2011 7:24:30 PM EDT
[#36]
If she turns into a black man by the name of Herman Cain....she gets my vote.

Though I really like her, she is more of a liability than anything if she's in the race for POTUS or VP.

As a loose cannon rabble rouser and commentator......I like her a lot more than Ann Coulter.

i for one would welcome February snow machine races through the rose garden.

Oh and the hilarity of watching misogynistic foreign leaders deal with her, and misogynistic leaders here. so republicans are racists for questioning Obama but i doubt democrats will be called sexist.

She had the audacity to call Cain "flavor of the week" on Greta's show.

Really? Hey Sarah, how's your reality show doing?

Oh wait...
10/4/2011 8:02:49 PM EDT
[#46]
No way would I vote for her. She thinks she can see Russia from her house, she does not know what magazines she reads, she does not know who Paul Revere is, she quit in the middle of her term for govenor, she shoots animals fom a helicopter, etc, etc, etc................
