I've had searing migraines for most of my teenage and adult life, and I've NEVER seen anything like that.

I used to get those.  They suck.

Yup, at the onset of every migraine I've ever had, which has been many.

Thankfully *knocks on wood*,  I haven't had one in a year or so.

They suck when you get one while driving on the interstate

On average, I go through a few weeks to a month of daily migraines once a year.  They all are preceded by these visual weirdities.  I usually end up with tunnel vision too.

I've gotten used to it over the years, but the first several times it happened, I thought the my world was coming to end.

Never heard of them.   They seem to be associated with migraines, and I never get headaches, so that must be why.  Glad I don't get them.

I had one once, in 8th grade. I think it was right before an English test, got a horrible headache and saw what I could only describe a figure 8 that looked like the snow channel on a TV. I was only able to answer one question on the test, didn't even put my name on it.

I get them rarely, but never the following migraine. Occasionally there will be a mild headache afterwards, but two Tylenol take care of it.

Mine last about 20 minutes also.

I get maybe three or four a year, but so far no headaches (the sinuses make up for that). First one was about four years ago–– thank God my wife knew what they were (she gets the headaches too). I was convinced I was having a stroke. She told me her doctor called them "asymptomatic migraines." I've been late for work because they make driving impossible–– haven't had one while driving yet, thank God again!

ETA: Mine seem to last about half an hour, though a couple have lasted almost two hours.
