On average, I go through a few weeks to a month of daily migraines once a year. They all are preceded by these visual weirdities. I usually end up with tunnel vision too.
I've gotten used to it over the years, but the first several times it happened, I thought the my world was coming to end. |
| I had one once, in 8th grade. I think it was right before an English test, got a horrible headache and saw what I could only describe a figure 8 that looked like the snow channel on a TV. I was only able to answer one question on the test, didn't even put my name on it. |

I get maybe three or four a year, but so far no headaches (the sinuses make up for that). First one was about four years ago–– thank God my wife knew what they were (she gets the headaches too). I was convinced I was having a stroke. She told me her doctor called them "asymptomatic migraines." I've been late for work because they make driving impossible–– haven't had one while driving yet, thank God again!
ETA: Mine seem to last about half an hour, though a couple have lasted almost two hours. |
