[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Chinese Army marksmanship practice (Page 1 of 3)

Not a bad idea really. I know a lot of guys that will train by hanging weights off the front end. I've seen some take plastic shopping bags from walmart, load them with full ammo boxes, and hang them off their wrists. If you can build up that arm strength, you can hold the gun steadier.
This looks goofy, but it damn sure works. Especially for handguns. |

Don't you get it? After they get done shooting, they're going to build another mud hut. And those are mud bricks. Guys, guys, guys, guys, guys.... The Chins are gonna rule this century. Laugh it up now........'cause before you know it, our kids and grandkids are gonna have to learn Mandarin just to get a decent job. I've been teaching myself Mandarin (off and on) for a few years now. If you bitches are nice to me, I'll do what I can to get you out of a bad work detail. |

He must have been the office worker in the rooms beyond that complained. |

I don't know what you're talking about... but here are two shooters with bags on top of their heads... |

seems similar to what the Romans used to do: they would train with swords and shields that were 3x heavier than the real ones so that when they used them in combat they would feel lighter and they wouldnt tire as quickly... Another person who sees the light. Grasshopper, you are wise. |

Took me a minute to see the shell cases balanced on the rifles |

Took me a minute to see the shell cases balanced on the rifles ok.. thats.. crazy.. Dime/washer drill on steroids. Crazy is how many times I have seen US forces use a drill designed for an M16A1 barrel on the newer rifles, and fail to recognize how pointless it is and how easy it is with a larger barrel. Heck, I bet people are still doing it. |

And on the other end of the picture... http://www.dumb.com/m_pictures/ed6e46f7df8941e2bf8b119743233eaa.jpg My co worker had this as his wall paper for years, he got quite a joke out of it.....................until I explained to him marksmanship training. I don't recall the actual term, but decades ago, in the early part of training, we would have the "recruits" use the demil'd 1903's sight in on the target at the other end of the range where someone was there with the target and moving a pencil. Or such a technique for that was over 30 years ago for me but this looks like a similar approach. There those who look at this and look and laugh and even perhaps get a preconceived notion about a population. Be wary of that, for such assumptions may get one killed in the future. _____________________________________________ ("The police are called FUZZ because their thinking is fuzzy."––The Deaf Man, (w,stte), "Fuzz") |

Quoted: Actually the chinese spent a boat load developing the QBZ 95 and its 5.8mm round. its very well balanced and lighter than other bullpups due to the polymer shell the chinese developed for the QBZ family of weapons. It is so well balanced that it can be fired with one hand. This balance allows the weapon to feel lighter to the operator. Bullpups are arse heavy, it's a cheap fix in these tough financial times!! |
