Quoted: I prefer the traditional look of the Stowa. Xetum timepieces are fine, but they're a bit too different. Stowas are classic. Xetum, to me, is too "flavor of the monthish". yeah i know stowas have been around for awhile and i never had a german watch before, i am concerned that the xetum sits 11mm high? |

I also like watches. I forgot to wear mine this morning to work and looked at my old skinny wrist about 100 times.. No, I dont want to push the button on my cellphone ever time i want to know the time.. I am naked without a watch...By the way..I like the bottom one. |

My Seamaster is around 13mm and haven't had any problems getting shirt cuffs over it. REALLY thick watches are around 15-20mm. Just saw where you were considering the IWC chrono. No comparison there. Stowa's are nice, IWC are in a leage of their own (I'm trying to buy a used one from a friend at the moment). |

This. The festive witch watch would be a much better watch than either of the options in the original post. The witch watch has a quartz movement, which is an order of magnitude more accurate than either automatic movement proposed by the OP. The witch watch is also several hundred dollars less expensive and you save money every year because the witch watch never has to be taken to a jeweler for cleaning or adjustment. If the witch watch breaks, you take some of the hundreds of dollars you saved by not buying a more expensive watch out of the bank and buy another one. Thus, if one considered only the objective measures of accuracy and value, the witch watch if by far the better watch. The witch watch also has the added advantage of novely - you will be the only guy at the table wearing one. |
