Watcing me shoot.
Saw this beauty(gopher tortoise) in the rear berm of the 200 yard range just out of the impact area. Looks like he has an AQ type tunnel system, al-zawahiri may be living there.

No, as I got closer I could see these little legs beating furiously to move this big body off the track. Big Gopher tortoise. Like a dumbass I'm using this mobile check point as a braking marker. |

I remember being told in a safety brief for anyone who sees one to call a cease fire on the rifle range at 29 palms if they see a desert tortoise. I believe we had to wait until it cleared the lateral limits of the range before we could resume shooting. No one was allowed to move it.
