Back in the 1999 & Purple Rain days, I never listened to Prince in front of witnesses. Now I don't particularly care what anyone thinks about my musical taste but as a teenager I sure as he'll cared! I did take a slinky brunette to see the Purple Rain movie, but that could always be blamed on her (apropos of nothing, she had a lazy eye that was kind of distracting ... Ever try to gaze lovingly into the eyes of a beautiful woman & one eye is looking over your shoulder?)
But I didn't much care for where he went (musically) after Purple Rain. |
