| If you aren't watching it on Facebook now, you are missing some great fights! The crowd is going nuts. |
|
Sorry, the fights just ended on Facebook. I would have posted a thread earlier but I figured someone would post one before me.
For future reference, just go to the UFC's page and click "live video" on the left column. I just bought the fights, there should be some barn-burners. |

He's not to big for his weight class he has the skill set to finish fights in the 1st or 2nd round of every fight. He just needs to fight until the ref stops the fight and not waste energy on looping punches. Tell that to Shane Carwin. With muscles that big, your heart has to pump more blood to sustain them under constant strain. Either his cardio needs to be better, or he needs to drop 10-15 lbs. Edit for clarification: Shane Carwin has the one punch knock out power to end the fight in the 1st round every fight (and has done so many times). He cruised through the lower to mid tier guys and has problems with top level guys that can stay off the ground and are quick enough to move around and pick him apart for 2 rounds. Edit 2: Damn what a punch. That guy wanted to argue with herb. LOL |

Just an update for fans that may not have heard yet: UFC has signed a multi-year broadcasting contract with FOX!
That's right, free fights coming to a FOX broadcasting channel near you! This is big, it is the key to the sport becoming mainstream. Spike is gone at the end of this year. TUF and fight night events will be broadcast on FX. |

Where TF is Joe Rogin, he get busted at the airport with his pot or something? ![]() Joe Rogan is filming the next season of Fear Factor right now. Kenny Florian is like Joe Rogan junior anyway. I think he does a good job, but he is not as entertaining as Rogan. "That cut looks like a goat's vagina" "Japanese are very strange"

Spike will be around, but they will be shopping for another MMA league. |

Wait, Spike is gone or they are just losing TUF/UFC? ![]() Spikes is gone. Sounds like they'll probably pick up Bellator or one of the other smaller promotions. Fox will be airing TUF and regular fights now. TUF may get interesting, as it will have live fights every week on FOX. |

Damn, I am glad I didn't bet on that fight. I have $100 on Silva, but I only get $120 back if he wins.

Win/win. There was a reliable but unofficial report that fox is going to pay them around 90 million a year for the duration of the contract, think it was 6 years. Spike was paying them around 30-40 million a year if I remember right, now spike is about to pick up bellator from mtv2 and it should be official in the next few weeks. Ufc will always be on ppv, the profit from ppv is much much larger than licensing fees from cable. Combat sports will probably never generate enough in ad revenue to go away from the ppv model. |

Nog is the only Brazilian I'm rooting for this entire card. I though Pearson did pretty well. Always moving forward. I'm having trouble picking Forrest vs Rua - I just hope both perform well. If Rua is not broken going into this fight, I expect him to come out on top. |
