let me plug in a bunch of addresses and create a route for me to follow to hit them all without backtracking.  Can't figure out a way to do it in Mapquest.  Anything free out there that will help me out?

there's this thing called google maps....

you can add as many "stops" as you'd like

It won't sort them for me.  It will only put them in the order I list them.  That's fine if it's a few addresses, I need to do 60+.

you want it to figure out the optimal route among 60+ stops?

Back in the days brfore Google and Bing maps, I had a program called Microsoft Mappoint, and will sort the stops to optimized the trip.
I do not know if Google or Bing can optimized your trip planning.

Streets and Trips will work for you.  I've been using it for a year now.  A real time/gas/$$$ saver.

ETA: S&T also has regular construction zone updates.  Great feature.

Mapquest will optimize a route for you. I've done it before.....
ETA: I forgot you can only do stops a-z and if its a start and return from the same spot that eats up 2 stops

That looks simple enough.  Most neighborhoods I'm walking have 20ish homes, some have many more I need to hit.  I can always break up the bigger ones.

I pretty sure I can do that on my Garmin.  I'll have to go check . . .

Go to walmart, throw them 20-40 bucks and get a copy of MS streets and trips.  Or you can buy and download it online from MS.

Could try them at http://www.gebweb.net/optimap/

It uses google maps and will order by fastest round trip.   Can either put in the addresses or double click on the map to set another destination.
