Trying to help the grandkid, been a long time, is my answer correct?

-6(3t - 9) - 3(11t - 3)
-18t + 36 -33t +9
-18t - 33t + 36 +9
-51t + 45

t=15/17

ETA;  Was it:

-6(3t-9) = 3(11t-3)

If so t=21/17

No. Where did you get 36 from? - 9 x -6=54.

Think answer is -51t  +  63

Yes.

9*6 is indeed 54!

The problem here is there is no equation in the original.

One cannot simply create an equation out of an expression..... kinda like you almost the whole thing.

If the equation = 0, then you can solve it for t.

Otherwise, all you did is reduced the expression to simplest form.

Thank you...I was reading this over and over trying to figure out how the fuck 9*6 was 36. Especially have several people said "yes". I think they were just fucking with him...Well....I'm hoping so anyway.

So, you're telling me you almost the whole thing too?

"... all you did is reduced the expression to simplest form"
Exactly. That is all that can be done, absent an equation.

I retract any previous statements. As it turns out, you're a freaking mind reader and knew what he meant to put despite what he actually put. THAT is impressive
