My car has just over 50k miles on it and the rear suspension with make a sort of twang noise once in a while. (It’s nothing that terribly bothers me, and probably doesn't need to be immediately addressed, but I want to do a better job at general maintenance on the car then my last one)

I’m looking into tooling on the suspension myself. I have been digging around the webs and so far as I can tell what typically needs to be replaced is the strut. So ATM my plan is to replace the struts on all four corners. My question to all of you is. What other components of the suspension if any should be replaced?

How many miles does it have? A 2007 is not an old car, no sense in replacing the struts if you don't have to.

Also, what sort of conditions produce the twang noise you hear?

It has 50k miles.

The twang happens when I hit a bump in the road, speed bump for example. It doesn't happen all the time either.

They may need to be replaced.  Try the methods suggested here to diagnose whether or not they are bad.  The twang is probably a normal noise the spring makes when extended or compressed more than usual. When a  spring extends or compresses, it also twists - so it may make a noise as it rubs aginst the spring mount.

Push down and let go on each corner of the vehicle.  If it bounces more than one time up and down, they need replacing.  If not, keep driving it until they do.

Of course, if you see any leaks they need replacing as well.
