As you can see, I've been a member here for awhile, but I don't post very often. I was hoping all of you would be willing to help me out.

Last October, I left the big, public schools I've worked in as an administrator to become the principal at Arrowhead Ranch in Coal Valley, IL. Arrowhead has been around since 1945. We are a residential facility that works with students who have been placed here by the Department of Children and Family Services, through the courts, by school placement and by private placement. This is not a public school. We are a non-profit organization, so we spend a great deal of time fundraising so we can continue to work with these youth. As a residential facility, we have the students 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We tend to all their needs––medical, psychological, educational. We also attend school year round, and we don't have snow days since our students live here. It's a unique facility with a unique clientele, and it's the most challenging/rewarding job I've ever had. We also provide counseling to the families who have children in our facility, and we maintain contact with our students after they leave our program. It's a very unique place, and I'm proud to be part of this organization.

RK Dixon is having a contest for a $15,000.00 office makeover. This would be a HUGE benefit to our organization. If you could go to the RK Dixon link below and vote for Arrowhead, I would really appreciate it––as would the others who work here and go to school here. Here's an email from another staff member here that tells you how to go about voting for us:

Arrowhead is participating in the Make My Non-Profit Run Better contest for a chance to win an office technology makeover from RK Dixon valued at up to $15,000.

This is a great opportunity for us, as you know firsthand the time it takes to raise this amount of money. This makeover would allow us to be more efficient in providing services for those who need it most. And, typically, money raised tends to support our mission, rather than offset business technology costs.

How can you help? For once, not by donating money, but by voting!

The organization with the most votes will be selected as a finalist. The more votes, the better chance we have to win.
Go to http://www.rkdixon.com and vote for Arrowhead until 5 p.m. Aug. 8. You can vote once a day, per computer so please vote daily.
Stay tuned … if we are chosen as a finalist we will need your votes again! We need this makeover to help us run better.

As you can see, you can vote more than once a day, if you have access to more than one computer a day. I thank you in advance.

Voted from multiple computers - gotta love technology - connected to several computers in three different states and used their browsers to vote - all from my own home office. Will do it again tomorrow.

I really appreciate it!

Just a reminder that this goes on until August 8.

Thanks again.
