Here goes,

We have one small male dog (shih tzu) who is friendly and loves other dogs.

A family member is fostering another small female mixed breed (looks to be part shih tzu) who needs a home.  We have 2 indoor cats too who hate each other, but dont really fight.

Wife is for it, so is my son.  We have plenty of room, and Im not sure how much more work a 2nd dog would be considering we already have one if that makes sense.

What do you all think?  Poll inbound.

Not unless you're a glutton for punishment.

In our experience with our dogs, they are happier when there is 2 or more of them.

Do it. Dogs aren't much work at all. You give it water and food and run around with it after work.

I'd be my testicles your wife and kids require more work than that

You should know the whole 2 is 1 thing.  Everyone needs a backup dog.

I would.

Just make sure one of them is fixed.
