An S tank, really? |
|
+1 Or the crazy bastard they built at the end of the war that essentially launched rocket-propelled depth charges into buildings ![]()
ETA: Sturmtiger, took me a moment to remember the name. As for the Hetzer in the background above, I've ridden on it |

An S tank, really? Hell yeah. Can park in garage.
I know it was a last ditch defensive machine. But I liked the low silhouette |

My Fav´s:
Tiger ( the ONE! ) Panther, when it worked M 36 Jagdpanther ( awesome! ) Centurion ( with Diesel engine, if possible!!! ) Scimitar and Scorpion Kürassier ( yea! ) M 60 A 3 TTS ( yes, I know. it´s not the best, I still ilke it ) Wiesel ( AWESOME ) The Leo II is simply the best. Hermann P.S.: don´t know why, but always loved the skin skinned, useless, weakly gunned M 41 ( or its pre, the M 24 )( and M 42 )( yes, the 40 mm AA ) ... |
|
I know they are tank destroyers not tanks but I'd have to go with the m18 hellcat or the m36 jackson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIoJTF8y7b0 |

The only one that I have sat in, and been allowed to traverse the turret (as a Cadet being given a tour), the Challenger 2. The Challenger 1 (second video) still holds the record for longest tank kill at 5km+, I think. How much of that came down to the tank, the operators, or chance, I am not qualified to say. Cool though, at the very least. |

Not a fan of the seperate loading ammo in a MBT personally. Ammo storage as well is a nonstarter for me. I also read that the Challenger 1 was not very good ergonomically in the gunners station. The gunner had to have his head at angled at like 45 degees or so to use the thermal IIRC. They did not have a very good showing during the CATs either, although I am not sure I put much stock in that. |
